This program is designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, sonographers,
technologists, and other health care professionals seeking to acquire the skill sets and
knowledge base required to apply, perform, and interpret Transcranial Doppler (TCD)
and Transcranial Doppler Imaging (TCDI) studies.
Didactic lectures will provide learners with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of
using TCD in patient care. Topics will cover the various settings in which TCD is performed,
including the diagnostic laboratory, emergency room, neurocritical care unit, operating
rooms, and endovascular procedure rooms.
In addition, this course will provide 100 TCD patient case studies supervised with various
faculty members. Attendees of this course may then be eligible to apply for the American
Society of Neuroimaging RPNI examination for TCD.
